There are few corners in Europe that have never remained unexplored, where it seems to go back in time, where tradition and history still reign supreme, Maramures is a journey through time in the north of Romania, in the heart of the Balkans. We will live the everyday life of this people to fully enjoy the experience and be able to immerse ourselves in the local reality at best, we will be supported 24 hours a day by one of the most expert and important local guides.
Departure from Italy and landing at Cluj airport, where we will stop the first night and make a general point about our trip.
Botiza is a small reality of just under 3000 inhabitants, after a rich local breakfast we will walk through the markets and visit the small handicraft businesses that characterize these areas. Contact with local elders and new generations will be facilitated by our guide who was born and raised in these areas. We will shoot all day long and wide in search of the perfect shot. Dinner and overnight at a local house.
Today wake up early a unique event awaits us. On this day there is a well-known pilgrimage to the nearby monastery of Moisei.
Already from the previous night, the pilgrims, dressed in traditional clothes singing by candlelight, begin to approach this place of worship. We will go early in the morning to be able to make a reportage that will last for the whole day, in the afternoon we will be able to decide to move to other monasteries or conclude our shooting session there.

We will leave from Botiza and along the way we will continue to meet people, artisans and local activities until we arrive at our structure located in the village of Breb.

Today will be dedicated to the village of Breb, we will walk through its avenues going to meet the people who live in this small reality.
We will meet artisans, village elders and not only, we will have the opportunity to experience traditions, culture and admire the lifestyle of the countryside in a region where time has stopped.
We will start the day by visiting the town of Sighet and its local markets.
After a photographic reportage we will move to the colorful cemeteries of Sapanta and its famous monastery, the latter in fact seems to be the tallest in wood in the world.
We will end the day in other local crafts, painters and sculptors activities, returning to Cluj.

Last greetings and return home.
The trip will be accompanied entirely by one of the best guides in all of Romania, the same, author of several historical and cultural books, boasts in his curriculum collaborations with National Geographic, Lonely Planet and some of the most important photographers in the world (thanks to his precious help the photographer Rena Effendi won the prestigious World Press Photo).
His presence will undoubtedly be an added and fundamental value for the realization of this reportage.
